The Sardinian warbler is a passerine insectivorous somewhat smaller than a sparrow with a length of about 12-14 cm. Adult males have a striking black cap that goes from the top of the beak to the nape, passing under the eye and contrasts with the white of her throat. The eye is of a reddish brown hue, and is framed by a red eye ring stands out against the black cap. The back is colored slate gray and the ventral region is a lighter shade of gray. The female and young have a similar design but more discrete, brownish hues dominate.

Gender Crocus belongs to a group of perennial bulbous plants belonging to the family of the lilies (Iridaceae ). This genus is widely distributed in Europe, North Africa and Asia, with over 80 species. Most Crocus species are found in Mediterranean regions as the Balkans, Greece and the Middle East among others.

Its flowers are usually purple (rarely white). The leaves form in spring and disappear in the fall resulting in flowering. It is toxic in contrast to their relative growing near Saffron (Crocus sativus ). It looks delicate, is a bulbous plant, perennial, with long leaves and acintadas.
